Cadence looks like the old pink Princess Celestia toy and Chrysalis kind of has her own facial structure going on that she doesn't really share with anypony
if anything Cadence looks a bit like nightmare moon would without the helmet
but in any case her huge bug eyes and smooth pointy face isn't a callback to cadalyis, that design existed before the series did let alone the episode. Cadence is like the first true Hasbro mandate in the show

MLP is better than Steven Universe which isn't hard but still
