I was rendering duck fat from the skin of a duck I butchered and when I went to finally strain out the fat it melted my plastic strainer.
My work is inedible due to melted plastic.

It's much more cost effective to buy whole birds and then disassemble them to buy the parts separately.

WTF of course it does.
Butchers are no the same people who slaughter the animals.
Butchers purchase dead animals and them cut them up into easy to eat pieces.

i feel like a store bought chicken is already butchered and fit for consumption, you're not really removing entrails, feathers/hair or blood or anything

but don't worry, you're still giving me the ick

To be human is the consume the flesh of lesser beings.
The only reason you're not feeling the ick is because you're obscuring the methodology of your consumption.
Vegans may pretend that they can subside from plants alone but those cultists eventually will either give in to nature or die from malnutrition.
As an egoist myself I simply see no reason why cutting up a carcass is inherently repulsive.
Meat is meat regardless of the form.

yeah i never argued against that, i still don't want to know how my meat gets on the table

>I simply see no reason why cutting up a carcass is inherently repulsive
it is inherently repulsive on an instinctual level though, humans are repulsed by corpses in general, butchers and especially surgeons are probably all pyschos as far as i am concerned and you are one too for melting your plastic utensils with dead animal stuff and you give me the ick

would not touch your hands ever knowing you were elbow deep in a duck's ass or something
Replies: >>62243 >>62251
if other animals were bigger and smarter than you they would have no problem eating your meat for sustinence, just look at how cats will eat their owners if they drop dead and nobody notices for weeks

Perhaps I'm somewhat of a psychopath myself.

I would not fault them for following their instincts but I would fight tooth an nail for my own self-preservation.

I once had a dream of owning my own guinea-pig farm.
I find their presence soothing. Their cuteness inherently calms my nerves.
However I have no qualms with killing individual guinea-pigs and eating their flesh like the Peruvians.
After all, this is the original purpose of the Guinea-pigs.
The perfect food source from the new world, like the potato. White meat with little saturated fats.
Peru really is the greatest country on earth, their greatness only comes from the cultures that existed 3000 years ago.
Guinea pigs are a human invention. Their cuteness would not be possible if humans did not want to eat them.

Just think about it rationally.
Without emotions.
Exclude your western conditioning.
What I am saying makes perfect sense.
If you can think independently you will become immune to foreign interference.

Your intuition is correct on that, although that doesn't make them all inherently bad people, some, like surgeons, choose to use their resistance to revulsion towards dead bodies to bring good to this world, otherwise they wouldn't have chosen to be surgeons in the first place
They'd be murdering people or animals for sport or money instead
