/s4s/ - anime pillow fight

i can't really sit myself down and play vidya anymore, they feel so unfulfilling and timesinky compared to nearly everything else, whenever I want to relive some nostalgia, watching some longplays is enough and I don't have to dust off my old carts.

i just get frustrated when playing games sometimes. i get frustrated a lot at life lately. i hate being angry, it's not comfy.

i just feel like modern games don't respect your time and all want to become your second job, employing psychological tricks to keep you playing everyday (daily checkin rewards) and massive fuck you file sizes as a form of soft DRM and and to heavily discourage people from uninstalling the game and install a competitor's game instead because the download and install sizes are so fucking enormous

that's a pretty astute observation, never thought of it like that. in counter strike 2, you can make money off of weekly item drops, but it ends up creating a rather unenthusiastic playerbase at best, or a downright toxic playerbase at worst. everyone just cares about their weekly drop because they're worth fifty cents to a dollar or more, and it goes from a fun little form of escapism, to another enduring grind. it's a sad place.

This is why i now exclusively aim for moddable games only, it's always been an insurance against bullshit grind or bugs which wont ever get fixed or dogshit game design choices in general

i'd love to, but my mom switched to 5g internet, and i can no longer maintain a stable connection in multiplayer vidya... just sold some of my skins so i could buy some new games. hopefully they release the funds before the game's sale ends.

i used to only play competitive, and was stuck in silver 2 hell in cs:go for 1k hours. a lot of people i met had high hours too. i wondered if it had anything to do with some hidden trustfactor rating, but it's definitely changed in cs2 though. i remember the first time i actually tried cs2, it felt so good, but they must've tweaked the code and fucked it up again because it does not feel nearly as good anymore. i was running around with a deag, landing headshots just like you could in cs:s, but now it's a mystery as to when the kill will finally register, if it is actually registered as a kill or not.

yes the rating system definitely changed. for a while my rank shot up so high i had to start playing left handed just to be with my people again :)

i try not to think of what cs2 changed... (RIP NOVA)... (AND INSERTION 2)... (moment of silence)... i just play for fun cuz i dont have time to sweat anymore

i liked that they brought back tuscan but then they just took it away just as quick. they just took away all of the fun stuff and add a lot of game breaking glitches in the process because nobody cares anymore. ugh, if my stupid 5g antichrist internet ever gets better, i'd love to play with a fellow squishie. i used to love testing out strats in pugs and just watch the chaos unfold. 

the steam funds finally dropped from selling my skins, been playing a rally racing sim that doesn't need multipla... car has just been idling because i am drunk and don't care anymore either. might aswell go take a nap at this point @_@
