I get good results with 10000kbps and nvenc h264, any more and this site starts to choke on my stream quality.

archiving VODs requires insane amounts of space, not even twitch will let you do it past a certain amount, youtube will though.
You can press the streaming and recording buttons to do both things at the same time or enable it by default with "Automatically record when streaming" under Settings > General.
