i can help but only as meat GPT as i have never seen an oculink ever in my life

if it were me i'd grovel any relevant datasheets to see if there's a good reason why they don't support it, like electrical differences or cheaper components, might save you a dead end or a fried board

also does this need to happen via oculink specifically, is this the only way to connect a normal pci card to an m2?

also the exact model of the mobo would help

uhhh so i give you the full story in a the shortest form
i have this Trigkey S5 5800h miniPC and an RTX 4060ti from an old build laying around and i thought i could connect them together somehow i watched some videos online like this https://youtu.be/NNIoevOn5bk and though hey this could be nice project
so i searched around and uhhh bought a AOOSTAR AG01 egpu dock wich is basically a flex powersupply and a board who is the RTX 4060ti is conected to all in one enclosure but its the same thing as in the video basically the thing is my Trigkey S5 does not have an oculink port (wich is from my understandings the best option for an eGPU stuff thingy aaaa)
so i bought an adapter from m.2 to oculink to connect it to le mini pc but no luck with this yet
so i reached out to trigkey and they said its not possible but i think it just some weird BIOS setting they put in there

keep in mind m2 slots only go up to 4x so maybe this is overkill
if you have some m2 device that isn't an ssd i'd try it in that slot first, or a different kind of adapter if it exists
i don't think they'd lock the option in the bios for no reason unless they want to sell a more expensive model for this; chances are it's a cheaper interface that can't do graphics
there's also stuff like pci-e lanes coming from either the cpu or the mobo, this might be a factor
so in any case the slot is probably crippled in some way

unfortunately not as much as it would with a normal pc
there is no chipset to speak of in this, so hell knows what the topology of the various buses is like
the other half of it is how trigkey is using this soc on their board, they basically have no documentation of any kind
i would just keep pestering them for more info at this point

im writing an email to the motherboard manufacturer rn maby they can help me with this too
whats odd is that they only have Beelink devices on their page
the thing that i remebered is when i was looking for a mini pc is that the beelink was 100€ more expensive but had the same specs and everything they even have a model on the website called the Beelink S5 and it look almost excatly like the Trigkey S5 just a different housing
