Yeah. Usually the non-sexualized trans characters are more fleshed out and sympathetic. They even reflect the trans experience better than the lazy fetish slop crossdressers and "traps" in anime. Some even give their life story being trans like Hana from Tokyo Godfathers and we see things from their point of view.
