it was the first anime i ever watched 
it's also when i first  started browsing 4chan (which was the reason i watched it in the first place)  
i was in my senior year of highschool and while watching it i kinda realized things won't get magically better and that i will be a forever alone turboloser

i still remember the burning red stabbing needles i got in my back from embarrassing myself in public as a pre teen. all the social ostracization, too. all because i wasn't cool enough, or too weird to be around for some reason i never understood. nobody ever accepted me the way i was.

this anime didn't make me feel good like a normal sol would, i could barely make it through the cringe, but it helped me understand others are facing these same struggles in their own life, it's not just me being singled out and picked on.

my highschool girlfriend was obsessed with watamote
