it isnt but under certain circumstances it is, mostly in singleplayer games, i mean im not competing against anyone or really building any mechanical skills that will carry over to any meaningful game, so why bang my head against a wall why playing hardcore ultra hard legendary mode

unfortunatelty while we're alive we must engorge ourselves on resources in order to survive and experience more of life, the more resources you have the easier life is, it even benefits procreation which instinctively is the main drive for wanting to live. regardless, even without having kids the hording of wealth is the prime directive of modern culture, every aspect of life is improved by it.

i dont agree. the experience itself is worth so much, it can be such a character building experience. the first time hair grew on my nuts was when i was 12 getting into a close knit group of comp players in a niche fighting game, it taught me so much about perseverance, accepting defeat, believing in yourself and your friends, it taught me a lot about leadership as well, not just myself but of others, it taught me so many things i cant even list it here. i just dont think you can relate, and thats ok, but to me it was extremely valuable.
